Today, he participated in the Lok Sabha elections for the first time since becoming an Indian citizen, casting his vote.
Post-voting, akshay Kumar expressed his desire for India’s development and strength, emphasizing the importance of voting according to one’s beliefs. The polling, which began at 7 am in Mumbai, saw early queues as citizens aimed to beat the rising heat. Notably, several Bollywood personalities, including Jhanvi Kapoor and siblings Farhan Akhtar and Zoya Akhtar, also exercised their voting rights in Mumbai’s Bandra area.
The fifth phase of elections witnessed prominent political figures like Rahul Gandhi, Rajnath Singh, Piyush Goyal, Omar Abdullah, and Smriti Irani contesting for victory across 49 Lok Sabha constituencies.
