Country singer Morgan Wallen has broken his silence regarding an incident at a Nashville bar earlier this month that led to his arrest. Wallen, currently facing multiple charges, including three felony counts of reckless endangerment and one misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct, revealed details about the April 7th incident.

According to an arrest report, Wallen threw a chair off the rooftop of Eric Church’s Chief’s Bar, narrowly missing Metro Nashville police officers. Witnesses reported seeing Wallen laughing as he lunged and threw the object over the roof.

Wallen had not publicly commented on the episode, which occurred during his One Night at a Time world tour, until recently. In a post on his X account, he acknowledged the incident, expressing regret for his behavior and stating his intention to make amends with law enforcement, his family, and the staff at Chief’s Bar.

Acknowledging his respect for law enforcement and confirming that his tour will proceed without changes, Wallen is scheduled to appear in court in Nashville on May 3rd to face the charges. Despite the legal issues, he is set to perform at Nissan Stadium in Nashville on the same day.

This isn’t the first time Wallen has faced criticism and controversy. In 2020, he was charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct after being ejected from a Nashville bar. The following year, he faced suspension from his record label and removal from radio airplay after a video surfaced showing him using a racial slur.

Despite these setbacks, Wallen has achieved considerable success in the music industry. His third studio album, “One Thing at a Time,” dominated the Billboard 200 chart for a total of 19 weeks, and his single “Last Night” set a record for the most weeks at No. 1 for any non-collaboration song.
