He questioned whether James was trying to make a statement after facing criticism for his fourth-quarter struggles in previous matchups against the Nuggets. Bayless speculated on James’ demeanor on the court, wondering if he was simply allowing his teammates to take charge of the offense.
Expressing his disappointment, Bayless bluntly stated, “I just watched LeBron pout for the last 9 minutes of the game.”

While LeBron James didn’t have a terrible game statistically, his impact waned when the Lakers needed him most. Despite scoring 27 points and contributing 8 assists and 6 rebounds, James failed to assert himself during the crucial moments of the match. His performance was notably quieter in the second half, ultimately hampering the Lakers’ ability to mount a comeback.
